This watch honestly feels much more expensive than it is. I know this took a bit longer than expected but the pieces do look spectacular. Slowed us down a bit since I am the one running everything and disappeared for a week lol I slammed my neck and back hard so was resting. Rest assured we will get the watches out as soon as possible. Was at hospital but back home now and back working. March 6: I was recently in a car accident (last week).

So I found it curious early on when they said that the watches would ship from Delaware. Gentleman Warfare/Egard states that they maintain offices in Los Angeles and Toronto. Even in my own pics, I had to meticulously manipulate the light to show detail. The difference may be in adjustments of lighting in the first set of GW photos, but I think the watch in the November pics had been digitally treated to increase contrast. The pic GW published in late March is nearly identical to what I received. Later in this thread you will see the final product as delivered to me. But when they announced the "engraved case", I ordered it based upon their pics of late November, 2016. My original plan was to purchase the bronze-plated execution. Below, I will list, and document, some of the things that piqued my interest.ġ. So it wasn't difficult for me to question a few things regarding the GV-1 buying process. It has been pointed out to me that I recently asked a clerk at a McDonald's drivethru window how they could possibly and truly be "out of Coke", the number one soft drink in the world. Having spent half of my life in advertising and marketing, and the last half in law enforcement, I have become an undeniable skeptic. While our personalities may remain similar, we are far different in maturity than we were in youth. And this continues as our li ves continue. I've learned over the years that by, say the age fifty, we become the sum of our life-experiences. But then, for me, that was an exciting part of the overall experience. I've always been careful in selecting boutique-brand pieces - searching out both collector, and professional reviews, before making a buying decision. But this is my first foray into purchasing a crowd-funded watch.

And I certainly consider the V1-Gent to be just that, particularly when recognizing the brand's association with Egard (same principals, same design influences, etc,). I am a lover of boutique watch brands, owning twenty or so such pieces. (technically paper money for him since he hasn't sold his) This kind of money being made in the grey market is what allows and drives the scammy people. Please bear with me as I attempt to present details of this watch, and, of the buying experience of a crowd-funded timepiece. Kevin O'Leary of Shark Tank fame said of his blue 5711 it was the easiest money he has ever made. If you could buy one today at an AD you could undercut those listings sell the watch pay yourself back the cost and pay cash for a median-priced house and a new car with the profit. The demand is stratospheric and they are being listed at 10x retail. I'm second on my dealers list and he says I have about a 25% chance of getting one. If I get it I will keep it and sell my blue dial 5711 and pocket the difference.

I am on the list at my AD for the new Patek Nautilus 5711 with the olive dial. Mainly because it is a Hublot but the size and relatively conservative nature make it like a anti-Hublot. I now know I would regret getting rid of 90% of my accumulation and the remaining 10% I still enjoy and those are almost exclusively from brands that would be slow to sell and I would lose money own a perfect example is my Hublot 37mm Classic Fusion, I don't LOVE it but when it comes up in the rotation I still really like wearing it. From maybe 2005 to 2017 my accumulation changed monthly and then I cut myself off just because it was getting a little nuts (or a lot nuts). Glad you are bonding with the Pelagos I don't have the LHD but if I bought today I would get it instead of the original I have just for the roulette wheel date. Obtuse do you have much turnover in your collection or just collect and love? Ps love my lhd Tudor Pelagos
